3. How you started trading or investing in digital assets
"My journey into trading and investing in digital assets started out of curiosity — and a little skepticism. Around 2020, I kept hearing about Bitcoin hitting new highs. I started researching on YouTube, Reddit, and Twitter (now X), learning about blockchain, decentralization, and why cryptocurrencies even matter. I opened my first account on Binance, funded it with a small amount I could afford to lose, and bought Bitcoin and Ethereum. At first, I was purely investing, holding for the long term. Over time, I learned basic trading strategies — like how to read charts, spot trends, and manage risk. I never risked more than I could handle losing. I later expanded into altcoins like Solana and Avalanche during their bull runs. Along the way, I made mistakes — rushed trades, emotional selling — but each taught me something valuable. Today, I combine investing for the long haul with occasional short-term trading, always keeping education and risk management as my main priorities."
