MicroStrategy and Bitcoin
Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, announced another major Bitcoin purchase this Monday (28). According to Michael Saylor, the company made an investment of $1.42 billion, totaling 15,355 bitcoins.
In a form submitted to the SEC, the text states that these coins were acquired between April 21 and April 27 at an average price of $92,737.
Bitcoin is currently priced at $94,750 at the time of this writing, which means the company is already making a profit. However, executives do not disclose whether they have any strategy, besides DCA, to try to buy funds.
Strategy surpasses the mark of 550 thousand bitcoins
With the new investment, Strategy surpassed the mark of 550 thousand bitcoins in its wallet for the first time in history. In direct conversion, the coins are valued at $52.4 billion (R$ 296 billion).
In total, the company holds 2.63% of the entire Bitcoin supply, which is 21 million units.
For comparison, IBIT, BlackRock's ETF, holds 588,686 bitcoins. Meanwhile, Tether, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, has 100,521 coins.
The new billion-dollar investment from Strategy was announced this Monday (28) by Michael Saylor, founder of the company.
"$MSTR acquired 15,355 BTC for approximately $1.42 billion (R$ 8 billion), at about $92,737 per bitcoin, achieving a yield (BTC Yield) of 13.7% accumulated by 2025."
"On 04/27/2025, we held 553,555 BTC, acquired for about $37.90 billion at an average price of approximately $68,459 per bitcoin," Saylor wrote.

Historical data shows that Strategy is making daily investments, reported almost weekly. Previously, the company bought 6,556 BTC on April 21 and another 3,459 BTC on April 14.
In 2025, purchases exceed the range of 107 thousand bitcoins, further proof of its interest in becoming a benchmark in this Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
Companies are copying Strategy, creating high demand for the cryptocurrency
After achieving great success among ordinary investors, Bitcoin is entering strongly into its institutional cycle. Following Strategy's good results, other companies began to copy this strategy.
This includes names like Semler Scientific and Metaplanet. More recently, industry giants created Twenty One Capital (XXI), which is now among the top three public holders of the cryptocurrency.
