#XRPETFs
If understood in the standard way:
• ETF = "Exchange-Traded Fund", which is a fund traded on the exchange.
• XRP = the native token of the Ripple system, primarily used for global payments.
=> XRP ETF (if available) will be an investment fund traded on the stock exchange, used to track the price of XRP. Investors will not need to buy XRP directly but only need to purchase shares of that ETF fund.
A similar easy-to-understand example:
• Bitcoin already has Bitcoin Spot ETFs (like BlackRock, Fidelity…) in 2024.
• Ethereum is also preparing to launch Spot ETFs.
But currently:
• There is no official ETF for XRP approved by the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States).
• There are many rumors and predictions that if Ripple fully wins its lawsuit against the SEC, or if the crypto market grows stronger, the likelihood of launching an XRP Spot ETF will be higher.
