The American president stated that the suspension of the import tariffs on goods in the US is unlikely to be extended for another 90 days.

"We will make deals. In other words, we will simply set a tariff, and it will be reasonable, very reasonable. And that will be the end of the deal," Trump explained.

Moreover, the US president emphasized that he will not lower tariffs for China unless Beijing offers something substantial in return.

Earlier, on April 2, Trump imposed tariffs against 185 countries and territories, including EU member states. However, on April 9, he suspended the implementation of the restrictions for 90 days.

At the same time, Washington imposed tariffs against China in exchange for 145%. In response, Beijing set 125% tariffs on the import of American products.
