Are you pitching to potential investors? BE CAREFUL! It could be the Lazarus Group in disguise.
In the past month, more and more crypto co-founders have reported being victims of hacking attempts allegedly carried out by the Lazarus Group, a notorious hacker group from North Korea.
The chronology was shared by Mr. @ctowilliam (Co-Founder of Indodax) and Kenny (Co-Founder of MANTA) through their personal X accounts.
The modus operandi is very slick:
👉 They claim to be a VC
👉 Invite you to a Zoom meeting with a promise of funding
👉 During the meeting, pretend there's an audio error
👉 Send a link for "Zoom update" via chat
But?
That link is malware made by them to install a trojan on your device. Once clicked, your system is theirs.
Make sure to be careful, guys. The modus operandi of hackers nowadays is very varied.
