#XRPETF First ETF of XRP in the world debuts on B3 — milestone reinforces Brazil's prominence in the cryptocurrency market

Nothing like being the first in something. And, this Friday (25), Brazil once again makes history in the cryptoassets market: the first ETF (exchange-traded fund) in the world based on the cryptocurrency XRP begins trading on B3, the country's stock exchange.
The product is a creation of Hashdex, a manager specialized in digital assets and a pioneer in the crypto ETF segment, with management by Genial Investimentos. Back in February, the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) gave the green light for the fund's debut, which arrives in the market under the ticker XRPH11.
In practice, the fund replicates the Nasdaq XRP Reference Price Index and will invest at least 95% of its assets in XRP. This exposure may occur through direct purchase of the asset, futures contracts linked to the index, or other strategies that track its profitability.
XRP and the Brazilian market
The news marks another step for Brazil as a protagonist in the global cryptoassets market — and it hasn't gone unnoticed by experts.
