Previously, crypto only had Bitcoin and Altcoins.
Now:
BTC = a reserve asset like gold.
Altcoins = tech stocks (relying on cash flow, innovation).
The US government has also classified:
Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Fund: Only buys BTC, never sells.
US Digital Asset Treasury: Holds Altcoins (ETH, SOL, ADA...) for trading and profit.
Altcoins still have potential, but:
95-99% of Altcoins will "disappear".
The surviving Altcoins will be like companies that survived the dotcom bubble in 2000.
When will Altcoins rise sharply?
When the US prints money again (cuts interest rates or pumps QE).
Currently, Japan, EU, and China have started printing money.
The US will eventually have to print => big opportunity for Altcoins.
Personal Strategy:
Still DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) into strong Altcoins.
"All in" when the Fed officially starts printing money or when a recession happens.
