The creator of the TRON (TRX) blockchain, Justin Sun, urged to pump the price of ETH in honor of the 10th anniversary of the launch of the digital asset network.
On July 30, 2025, ETH will turn 10 years old. In honor of this event, the Ethereum Foundation, which promotes the cryptocurrency, will issue grants for events dedicated to ETH. Event organizers will receive up to $500 as part of the ecosystem development support program.
In response to the Ethereum Foundation's message, Sun wrote: "ETH celebrates its birthday on the same date as I do, so this day is particularly significant for me. I propose to increase the coin's price tenfold. Let's celebrate this anniversary together with ETH at $5,000."
The current price of ETH is $1,805, so the cryptocurrency will need to rise by 184% to reach the target set by Sun of $5,000. Given that this week the coin's price was unable to break the bearish trend line that emerged in December 2024, it is too early to talk about a market reversal.
How Sun plans to pump the price of ETH is unknown. During the dump of ETH's price, he stayed true to his word and continued to hodl the coins. At the moment, he owns staking ETH worth $296 million.
