#TariffsPause

Attorneys General from 12 states of the USA have filed a lawsuit in the International Trade Court in New York against President Donald Trump's new tariff policy. According to the Constitution, Trump does not have the authority to impose taxes under the International Economic Emergency Powers Act (IEEPA) without Congressional approval. They have stated that Trump's tariffs are harming the economy, increasing costs for consumers, and putting pressure on small businesses. The suing states are: New York, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, and Nevada.
