When asked by reporters on Air Force One about the possibility of extending the pause on these tariffs by another three months, Trump indicated that such a scenario is 'unlikely.' Furthermore, the president has stated that he will not lower the rates on China if Beijing does not offer 'something substantial' in return.

On the other hand, Trump indicated that the stock market chaos experienced in recent weeks is due to the markets adjusting to his tariff policy, minimizing the volatility that the stock and bond markets have experienced in light of the global rates from the White House.
