Simler Scientific (NASDAQ: SMLR), a medical technology company, announced that between February 14 and April 24, 2025, it acquired 111 Bitcoin (BTC) for $10 million. The coins were obtained at an average price of $90,124 per Bitcoin using proceeds from the market offering program (ATM) and available cash.
The addition of Bitcoin increased Simler Scientific's holdings to 3,303 Bitcoin purchased for a total amount of $290.4 million at an average price of $87,929 per Bitcoin. According to a statement, the market value of Simler Scientific's BTC holdings on April 24 at 4 PM Eastern time was $309.1 million.
The recent update on the company's BTC holdings came just over a week after it filed a mixed securities offering worth $500 million to finance the acquisition of additional Bitcoin. As reported by Bitcoin.com News, the filing allows Simler Scientific to sell debt securities, common stock, and units and use the proceeds primarily to purchase more BTC.
