This summer, a large-scale hackathon ETHKyiv 2025 will take place in Ukraine.
In June, the event ETHKyiv 2025 will take place in the capital of Ukraine.
Not only developers are invited to participate, but also designers, analysts, marketers, and entrepreneurs.
ETHKyiv 2025, which the organizers call the main event of the year for those creating technological solutions of the future, will take place from June 13 to 15 in Kyiv. According to them, this is a hackathon where ideas become products, teams find partners, and developers find support to create despite the war and crisis in the technology sector.
This year, ETHKyiv 2025 will become the largest event in the history of the initiative. Over three days, Ethereum Ukraine, the event organizers, will create a space where experienced professionals and those just starting their journey in the Web3 industry will work under one roof.
ETHKyiv events differ from traditional hackathons. Unlike them, they are primarily a launch point where ideas get a real chance to become products, Ethereum Ukraine notes.
Each team here works not only on a prototype but also on further development: with the support of mentors, expertise from leading Web3 companies, educational workshops, and access to acceleration.
As the organizers of the hackathon claim, such diversity creates a space for co-creation, deep networking, and launching new projects that do not disappear after the event, but rather gain momentum.
"ETHKyiv is not just about a few days of coding. First and foremost, it is about the opportunity to turn an idea into something meaningful. With support, knowledge, and faith in the result," claims Rostyslav Bortman, founder of Ethereum Ukraine.
This event is not only for developers, the organizers note. Participation is open to marketers, designers, analysts, students, entrepreneurs — anyone ready to turn a strong idea into an effective, self-sustaining product.
As part of ETHKyiv and a series of accompanying events, Ethereum Ukraine also provides grant support to the most promising teams. In just 2024, the organizers distributed over $480,000 in grants for the development of solutions, launching MVPs, and participating in acceleration programs.

About Ethereum Ukraine
Ethereum Ukraine is the largest non-profit Web3 community in Ukraine. Over the past three years, the team has held more than 40 events and attracted over 3,000 specialists who are creating new technological solutions.

Among the key initiatives are not only the annual ETHKyiv but also a series of mini-hackathons ETHKyiv Impulse, dedicated to the most relevant areas in Web3. The last Impulse was focused on Farcaster — a censorship-free social network that allows entire applications to be integrated into posts. It was preceded by a two-day hackathon ETHKyiv Impulse, where teams competed for grants of up to $200,000 from Zero1 Labs.
Participation in Ethereum Ukraine projects includes both newcomers and experienced specialists. The initiative receives support from leading global players in Web3, including the Ethereum Foundation, Uniswap, Ether.fi, as well as Sigma Software Group and IdeaSoft.

One of the significant moments was that Ethereum Ukraine organized a visit to Kyiv last year by Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, who personally met with Ukrainian developers during ETHKyiv 2024.
Among the friends of the initiative are Jesse Pollak, the lead developer of the Base network, and dozens of teams that are already integrating products born during ETHKyiv and ETHKyiv:Impulse.
