Mercoin, the digital asset arm of the resale giant Mercari, has begun trading XRP on its mobile exchange, providing over 20 million monthly Mercari users a straightforward pathway from market revenues to cryptocurrency.
Under the new option, shoppers can buy or sell XRP with a minimum order of just 1 Japanese yen. They can rely on three funding sources: Mercari cash balance, loyalty points, or linked bank accounts. Transactions settle within the same user interface that handles second-hand goods, so account holders do not need additional software.
