Crime Related to Cryptocurrencies🌏
According to Odaily, a report from the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) reveals that cryptocurrency-related crimes resulted in losses totaling $9.3 billion in the United States in 2024. This represents a 66% increase compared to 2023, highlighting the growing use of digital assets in online fraud. The annual IC3 report indicates that nearly 150,000 complaints were linked to cryptocurrencies, with investment scams being the most common. Fraudsters often lure victims by promising high returns on fake cryptocurrency platforms, leading them to transfer money that is then stolen.
