DinnerWithTrump The price of Donald Trump's cryptocurrency has soared after the U.S. president promised to hold two special events for top investors.
On the meme coin $Trump's website, it is reported that 220 of its largest holders will be invited to a private gala dinner with the president on May 22, describing it as "the MOST EXCLUSIVE INVITATION in the world."
According to the crypto trading platform Coinbase, $Trump jumped more than 70% after the announcement. However, it remains significantly lower than the record high of over $74 (£42.40) reached shortly after its launch in January.
