According to ChainCatcher, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson stated at an event that Ethereum may struggle to survive in the next 10-15 years. Hoskinson pointed out three structural flaws in Ethereum: the faulty account model, the virtual machine, and the consensus model. He criticized the 'parasitic' nature of layer two network solutions, arguing that these networks do not solve Ethereum's scalability issues, but rather siphon off value from the main chain. He compared Ethereum to Myspace and Blackberry, predicting that users will migrate to other platforms, especially to Bitcoin's decentralized finance ecosystem.
