The Chinese Ministry of Commerce denied reports of ongoing economic and trade negotiations with the United States.

According to a series of posts by Walter Bloomberg, the ministry stated that there are currently no negotiations between the two countries, describing claims to the contrary as "without any factual basis".

The ministry added that if the United States is serious about resolving trade tensions, it should start by removing all unilateral tariff measures imposed on China.

While these statements were coming from China, according to the USATODAY news agency based in Andhra Pradesh, Donald Trump stated on April 23 that "everything is active" when asked by reporters if he was in contact with Chinese leadership.

The Chinese statements affected Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, although the impact was slight. While the price of Bitcoin exceeded $93,000, it fell below $92,000 during the day. The price of Bitcoin, which later recovered, is still trading at $92,470.
