#BTCvsMarkets
The market capitalization of Bitcoin has risen to $1.87 trillion, surpassing that of Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) (the parent company of Google) at $1.859 trillion. Now BTC is only behind gold, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), and Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA).
Recently, the correlation between Bitcoin and the stocks of the largest American tech companies has significantly decreased. This was particularly evident in April, when the price of BTC rose by 15%, despite the Nasdaq 100 index rising by 4.50% during the same period.
This separation occurred after several months of disappointment for crypto enthusiasts who expected stronger growth following the U.S. presidential elections.
However, even with the increase in April, the price of Bitcoin still remains 16% below the historical high of $109,000 set in January, when Trump officially returned to the White House.
