How to trade when Binance announces a delisting?
When Binance announces that it will delist a cryptocurrency, violent movements usually occur: rapid spikes due to pure speculation and then brutal drops when panic sets in. These types of scenarios can be profitable, but they are also very dangerous if you don’t know how to manage risk.
Here are some key tips:
1. Don’t chase the green candle: The first reaction is usually an explosive bullish wick, triggered by bots or scalpers. Avoid entering late. If you’re going to trade that impulse, enter with little capital, a tight SL, and without getting attached to the position.
2. Hunt the pullback, not the FOMO: After the pump, there is often a strong drop. That’s where shorts have a better chance of entering. But make sure there is still liquidity and decent volume.
3. Use little leverage (and check the funding rate): High leverage may seem tempting, but in this context, it’s a deadly trap. Also, check the funding rate: if it is very negative on shorts, the movement may bounce back strongly before continuing down.
4. Respect the time until delisting: If there are several days left, there may be useful volatility. If the withdrawal is imminent, liquidity can evaporate. Don’t get stuck in a position with no exit.
5. Trade with a plan, not with emotions: Have your levels clear. If you’re trading spot, don’t expect “magical recoveries.” These coins usually go away and don’t come back.
6. Use alerts and stay informed: Activate notifications from Binance’s official blog or sites like CoinMarketCal. The speed at which you find out can make a difference.
These movements are like fireworks: fast, loud, and dangerous. You can win, but only if you have clear rules, manage risk, and don’t get carried away by FOMO.
I hope this helps!!
