What is Web3?

Almost everyone who is connected to the internet has heard and read the name

But very few are familiar with it

Let's understand it a little

1. Web1 (Static Web)

This was the first phase of the internet (from about 1990 to 2004), which had only read-only facility. Users could only view websites, it was not possible to change or join them.

2. Web2 (Social Web)

This is the second phase (since 2004), which had the facility of reading and writing (Read & Write). Social media, blogs, YouTube, Facebook etc. are examples of this. However, the data and control are with big companies like Google, Meta, Amazon etc.

3. Web3 (Decentralized Web)

This is the current and future phase, where users read, write and own.

Data, money and identity are owned by the user.

Interaction is done through dApps, which are based on blockchain.

Transactions are made through cryptocurrency.

There is no central authority (company, government) in between.
