The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider a project on taxes for crypto assets.
On April 24, the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on finance, tax, and customs policy will review in the first reading the updated draft law "On Virtual Assets." This was reported by the committee chairman, Danilo Hetmantsev.
The standard rate is 18%. A transitional period is provided – within a year, a citizen will be able to sell and declare income from virtual assets at a rate of 5% without confirming expenses for their acquisition in the past.
One of the open questions remains who will become the regulator of the cryptocurrency market in Ukraine. It is intended to be worked out before the next readings.
