We launched 450 thousand BitPay tokens on April 10th, this was done with a purpose, to make BPY a prestigious and unique token. Next week we plan to launch between 550 thousand to 1 million BPY.

Why not launch hundreds of millions of tokens at once? Here’s the explanation:

Devalues the token: If there is too much supply circulating without solid demand, the price drops quickly.

Attracts speculative whales: Who buy cheap, artificially inflate the price, and then sell in bulk (dump), affecting the project.

Turns away small investors: Because they feel they won’t have an impact or return compared to those who already have millions of tokens.

Generates distrust: A massive launch gives the impression that the goal is to "sell quickly" and not to build a lasting ecosystem.

What generates trust?

Controlled and transparent distributions.

Organic growth, with a real community.

Gradual and sustainable liquidity.

Well-defined reserves, as we did with the 100 million.

What we propose is precisely one of the foundations of an ethical and sustainable tokenomics.
