#Aptos Active and New Users Plummet.

The surge of users in Aptos has proven to be fleeting, with a drop of over 40% in active and new addresses since its peak in February 2025.

The weekly moving average of active addresses fell to an annual low of nearly 644,000, erasing a steady climb of seven months.

This simultaneous contraction in active and new addresses suggests that the previous growth was primarily due to the creation of addresses with low retention. This indicates a wave of low-value addresses, such as those used by bots or airdrop hunters, rather than a genuine increase in recurring users.

This loss of activity has also been reflected in the price of the token $APT , which has decreased by more than 35% since the February peak.
