Chapter 4 – Tăng Ngưu Asks the Way, Soul Chasing Heart Demon

The calamity of 90 has not yet passed, when 92 comes crashing down like a ghostly claw descending from the seventh heaven.

Just when a peaceful night had settled, as if I had passed the threshold, the heavens and the earth twisted again. The market world surged like a writhing dragon, candles stood upright for a minute like swords slashing. The hearts of countless fellow practitioners on the boat were swaying as if about to shatter.

I sat still in the meditation room, my soul still not re-entering my body, when a powerful stream of spiritual energy tore through the high sky – the price surged from 90,000 to 91,300 as if compelled by evil spirits. Each point of resistance was as thin as paper, every layer of defense pierced in the blink of an eye.

Just when the heart demon was about to erupt, amidst that chaotic night, a blue-green sword light slashed across the sky.

It was the Soul Chasing Sword – Di Tâm Tử. This sword did not slash at the price, but directly struck at the soul of the market, forcing it to look back at itself.

From the extreme overbought region, the Soul Chasing descended to zone 90, spiritual power rebounded into sound waves, causing the chart to tremble, candles began to stagnate, indicators went out of phase, signaling that the upward momentum might weaken.

But could this be a reflection of past glory, or merely a moment of silence before a new earthquake?

In the midst of that chaos, a fellow practitioner transmitted a voice, legal name: Tăng Ngưu.

He recounted that he had once been harmed by two individuals bearing the name Anh Biến, stripping him of all his cultivation, left empty-handed amidst the ocean of spirits. But he did not give up, he returned to hidden cultivation, learning each spell and each basic model again.

"This time I return," – he said –

"Not to conquer the market… but to conquer myself."

"Cultivation may be lost, but the heart of the Dao cannot be extinguished.

A broken chart can still be rebuilt, as long as the heart remains steadfast…
