The Taliban government says that its trade with Kazakhstan has reached one billion dollars in the past three years and plans to increase this figure to three billion dollars in the coming years.
During a meeting in Kabul with the ambassador of Kazakhstan, discussions were held on bilateral cooperation and trade exchanges.
Mullah Mohammad Isa Sani discussed the transport of goods between the two countries and the increase of trade transit through Afghanistan to other countries, as well as investment in infrastructure projects in Afghanistan, particularly in the railway sector, by Kazakhstan's construction companies.
At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul held a meeting at the Center for Strategic Studies regarding the relations and opportunities between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan, where recent developments and opportunities in the relationship between the two countries were discussed.
Previously, the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce had stated that reliance on Pakistan has decreased, which may be the reason for the increased trade exchanges with Central Asian countries.
