JUST IN 🔥: Trump urges the Fed to cut interest rates: “Inflation has cooled down, we cannot let the economy slow down”
President Donald Trump once again publicly pressured the Federal Reserve (Fed), demanding that the agency quickly cut interest rates. He argued that inflation is no longer a major concern as energy and food prices are on a sharp decline, while warning that maintaining high interest rates would hinder economic growth.
Trump also compared the Fed to the European Central Bank – which has cut interest rates 7 times – as a veiled criticism of the Fed’s delays. Specifically targeting Chairman Jerome Powell, he called him “Mr. Too Late” and accused him of political bias by lowering interest rates at a time that benefited Joe Biden’s campaign, followed by Kamala Harris.
