Michael Saylor started buying Bitcoin in August 2020 through MicroStrategy.
His first big purchase was around $250 million worth of BTC (~21,454 Bitcoin).
Since then, MicroStrategy has kept buying Bitcoin, often after raising funds through stock offerings or debt.
As of early 2025, MicroStrategy owns over 190,000+ BTC ā making it the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin.
Saylor himself is also a huge personal Bitcoin holder (reportedly owning 17,732 BTC privately).
He's a major Bitcoin bull, often saying things like:
"Bitcoin is hope" and "There is no second best."
