🇻🇳🇺🇸 PREPARE WELL THE CONTENTS FOR NEGOTIATION WITH THE USA

This morning, in the regular meeting of the Government Standing Committee with relevant ministries, agencies, and authorities, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assessed that Vietnam has responded promptly to the tariff policies from the USA, demonstrating calmness, proactivity, and flexibility with measures including:

- Actively negotiating with the USA through meetings between senior leaders and envoys.

- Proactively issuing government decrees to reduce tariff lines that can be reduced for the USA.

- Addressing concerns on certain issues that the USA is interested in within the framework of the law and according to the agreement between Vietnam and the USA.

- Increasing the purchase of items that Vietnam needs and the USA has strengths in, such as aircraft... to balance trade between the two sides.

Prime Minister's directives:

- Requesting ministries and agencies, especially the negotiation delegation, to thoroughly prepare the negotiation contents with the USA, closely following the direction of the Politburo and the Prime Minister, not complicating the issue; not allowing this matter to affect others; not letting this market affect another market.

- Alongside challenges, Vietnam has the opportunity to restructure exports, enterprises, and supply chains; focusing on product quality, high technology, and sustainable development.

- Ministries, sectors, and localities coordinate to address issues of concern to the USA, build and complete institutions to promote development, protect production, especially regarding the origin of goods, anti-smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and imitations.

- Reviewing the tax refund mechanism, reducing administrative procedures.
