Cover of the S-1 Form for the "Canary Staked TRX ETF" submitted to the SEC (April 2025)

Hello community! 👋

Today I came across a piece of news that made me think: Canary Capital has requested approval to launch a TRX ETF in the United States. But not just any ETF. This would include staking rewards, something that has not been seen in the U.S. market until now. If approved, it would be the first of its kind paving the way for other alternative assets.

And this is where the reflection begins.

Every time I see news like this, I realize how quickly the crypto environment is maturing. What was once exclusive territory for retail traders is now under the microscope of institutions and funds.

A TRX ETF that distributes staking rewards is not just a technical proposal: it is a sign that new models are being considered to integrate digital assets into the traditional financial system. What would this imply? Greater adoption, yes. But also new ways of managing risk, exposure, and, above all, public participation in decentralized ecosystems.

I find it interesting that TRX is the first to seek this institutional entry. It is a network with a strong presence in Asia, focused on fast transactions and low fees, and has been both criticized and praised equally. But that doesn't change the fact that its inclusion in an ETF represents another step towards the formal recognition of altcoins.

As a trader, this raises new questions:

  • How will this approval (if granted) affect the volume and interest in TRX?

  • Will we have to adjust our strategies if ETFs start moving the altcoin market?

  • Should we prepare for scenarios where cycles no longer depend solely on retail?

Today I don't have a demo operation, but I do have a concern. Every step of cryptocurrencies towards the traditional structure reminds me that we are learning about a system that is being written at the same time we study it.

And you, would you invest in such an ETF? Do you see potential or would you prefer to keep your portfolio off institutional radars?

We continue reading each other.
