#USChinaTensions Lisa Nuss is a lawyer and policy wonk who is strangely compelled by financial regulation. At one point she managed the registration of securities and stock-brokers in her home state of Oregon, and later advised major banks on how to stay out of trouble, as an associate at the Promontory Financial Group's SF office. One thing she loves more than regulations is having opinions about them. Her commentaries have appeared in major newspapers including the London Guardian, and used as curriculum in university courses and at the Southern Poverty Law Center. A piece she wrote defending Martha Stewart during her insider trading trial was printed in the McGraw-Hill textbook on Reading and Writing Short Arguments, 5th Ed.
