The Russian Supreme Court on Monday suspended the ban on the activities of the Taliban in Russia. Court judge Oleg Nefedov stated that the decision was made based on a request from the Russian Prosecutor General's Office and will be executed immediately.

The Taliban is the first organization to be removed from Moscow's list of terrorist organizations since it was banned from operating over 20 years ago.
