Last month, the French Senate approved a law requiring messengers to implement a 'backdoor' for the police.

This threatened the right to privacy for millions of people. Fortunately, the National Assembly rejected it.

Telegram has never disclosed users' personal messages — and they do not intend to. It is better to leave the market than to betray privacy.
