Recently, many junk coins that clearly have no good news suddenly skyrocketed. I analyzed this in my previous post; it is obvious that the crypto world has clearly divided into two realms. The old investors with some money have all gone to play with mainstream coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, after all, the fear of altcoins suddenly going to zero is simply terrifying. But here comes the question: since no one is playing with them anymore, how can these altcoins still rise?
Just look at the trading volume! Previously, altcoins would have trading volumes of tens of millions, but now there are only hundreds of thousands of dollars circulating daily. To put it simply, it’s just the market makers and project parties playing tricks on each other. Now, retail investors, market makers, and project parties are engaged in a psychological battle; whoever can’t hold on first will lose everything. Everyone is scared of getting cut and has run away; the existence of these altcoins is just a joke!
Especially those new coins that have just listed on exchanges, the project parties haven’t even recouped the listing fees. They are more anxious than we are; our retail money is trapped in altcoins, and the money invested by the project parties is also stuck inside. They have to spend money daily to maintain servers and pay the listing fees to exchanges. Now the entire market has thousands of new coins waiting to be listed every day, and there simply aren’t enough retail investors; do you think they are anxious?
To break the deadlock, there is only one way: forcefully pump the price! Drive the price up to deceive retail investors into buying in, and when the retail investors feel they can break even, they will hurry to sell, allowing the project parties to recover funds and continue to play the next round. Only by letting retail investors taste a bit of sweetness will they start to believe again in the nonsense that 'holding onto spot can make you rich.'
Now this market is getting more and more sinister. Last year, retail investors were cut; this year, even investment institutions are starting to lose money, and it seems that the project parties can’t hold on much longer. To be honest, this circle is becoming increasingly surreal. The people in this crypto space, although they feel the pain of being cut, still hold onto the hope of turning things around and fight to the end. In my opinion, it’s hard to say how long this game of passing the buck can last.
