Tips for Trading Coins About to Be Delisted (High Risk)

Recently, Binance has been quite aggressive in delisting many projects through the voting mechanism for delisting. Most coins that receive a delist notification drop significantly, but before being removed, you can often see them experience a strong pump before the delisting.

Important Note:

This is a day trading strategy, DO NOT HOLD long-term on coins about to be delisted.

High risk, suitable only for experienced traders.

How to Play:

After receiving a delist notification due to voting, these coins will drop significantly due to panic selling.

At that point, most traders will look to short → the funding rate will be deeply negative (usually below -2%).

If the negative funding persists while the price does not drop further, this is a sign that the market is accumulating shorts → the exchange may “push the price” to kill the shorts.

Watch the candles and consider buying spot or futures if you can handle the high risk at this moment to catch the last bounce.

Recent Case Study:

$NULS, $TROY: After the delist notification, these two coins saw a bounce of nearly 2x due to excessive shorting → deep negative funding → the exchange pushed the price to kill the shorts.

Support Tools:

Coinglass: Quickly check funding rates, easy to use.

You need to understand the basics of technical analysis and market behavior.

Summary:

This is a risky trading style but has a high win rate if timed correctly.

Experienced traders can give it a try, while newcomers should stay out or only buy spot.

Wishing you success!!
