On April 19, 2025, Justin Sun, the founder of the TRON network, announced via Twitter the filing of a request to create an Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) for the TRX currency on the website of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which represents an important step towards broader regulatory acceptance of the TRX digital currency and attracting greater interest from institutional investors.
