The halving cycle for FIL is 6 years. The Filecoin mainnet was launched on October 15, 2020. According to its halving mechanism, the first halving is expected around October 15, 2026. Subsequent halving times will follow suit, specifically in 2032, 2038, 2044, and so on.

In addition, the primary goal of the Filecoin Foundation for 2025 is to mobilize the Filecoin community to ensure seamless operation and achieve product-market fit for Filecoin. To achieve this goal, the foundation has set a series of key outcomes, such as increasing daily network storage usage by 5PiB, 75% of on-chain transactions renewing before expiration, and a month-on-month growth of 25% in paid transaction numbers.

There’s a saying in the community, 'speculate on the new, not the old,' but sometimes it’s just an obsession, like the mining machines bought at high prices, refusing to lose, in the end, a dazzling array. I still hold them, and looking long-term, a few times or even ten times increase is not a big deal. I dare not think about returning to the peak, because the market now is not the market of previous years, there are too many speculative hotspots, and too little hot money.
