$ETH President Trump continues to criticize Fed Chairman Jerome Powell.

President Donald Trump once again publicly criticized Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell for not lowering interest rates, while hinting at the possibility of firing him. On social media, Mr. Trump wrote that the end of Powell's term "cannot come fast enough," calling him "Too Late Jerome" and accusing the Fed of being slow to respond in managing monetary policy.

White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett confirmed that the President and his team are considering legal options to replace the Fed Chairman. Mr. Hassett accused the Fed under Powell's leadership of acting politically, undermining the Trump administration by raising interest rates during his term, while cutting interest rates ahead of the 2024 election under President Biden.
