The White House stated that President Trump and his administration are considering options to dismiss Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, despite legal barriers.
Recently, when asked if firing Fed Chairman Jerome Powell was feasible, Kevin Hassett, Director of the U.S. National Economic Council, said that President Donald Trump and his team are continuing to review this issue.
"I am not satisfied with him and have let him know that. If I want him to leave, it will happen very quickly," President Trump said.
The statement was made by the U.S. President after Chairman Powell warned on April 16 that the decision to impose tariffs on most trading partners could put the Fed in a difficult position, forced to choose between addressing inflation and unemployment.
