Spar supermarket in Switzerland has started accepting payments in bitcoins.

This SPAR store is one of the first supermarkets in Switzerland where you can pay directly at the checkout using bitcoins (via LNURL).

This is made possible thanks to our new solution #OpenCryptoPay, an open standard P2P for personal cryptocurrency payments, said the company DFX Swiss, which addresses issues with cryptocurrency and fiat payments.

Spar operates more than 13,900 stores in 48 countries, where more than 14.7 million people shop daily.

In Zug, you can pay for goods with bitcoin by scanning a QR code.
