Kenny Li, Co-Founder of the Manta Network blockchain, revealed that he was the target of a highly sophisticated phishing attack via the Zoom platform allegedly driven by the North Korean hacking group Lazarus.
In a post on X on Friday (4/18/2025), Li explained that the attack used live video recordings on the Zoom application from people he knew to lure him into downloading malware.
“I could see their faces, it looked very real. But I couldn’t hear anything. Then a notification appeared that my Zoom needed to be updated, and I was asked to download a script file. At that moment I exite$d the call,” he explained.
