The USA proposed to freeze the war, leaving the occupied territories under Russian control
On April 18, 2025, Bloomberg reported that the USA presented proposals for a peace agreement to its allies that would effectively freeze the war in Ukraine. According to the plan, territories occupied by Russia would remain under its control, and the issue of Ukraine's NATO membership would not be considered.
