Manny Stotz, president of the TON Foundation, claims that the network has every chance of becoming the most widely used blockchain in the world.

Roundtable host Rob Nelson began the discussion by comparing various use cases of Bitcoin in different countries around the world.
«Bitcoin can be a store of value. If you’re an investor from the U.S., you can hold it as digital gold,» he said. «If you’re in a country with massive inflation, it’s currency. It’s a tool for real action.»
He continued, «You say this concept plays out in a broader blockchain space. There is utility that is very different for some people, and that we don’t need here.»
When the conversation shifted to investment trends and future technologies, Nelson pointed out the attempts of major tech players to adapt. «Mark Zuckerberg transitioned to Meta, trying to do this for a reason,» Nelson said. «I don’t think he can pivot Facebook. It’s like turning the Titanic. It’s almost too big. But he sees where he’s going. He knows what that future looks like.»
Manny Stotz agreed.
«No, I completely agree. And again, I don’t want to speak ill of anyone, including Facebook, but they definitely saw the writing on the wall that this is essentially a big part of the future,» he said. «When you’re sitting on Mark Zuckerberg’s throne — last time I checked, the market cap was $1.8 trillion — it’s hard to move the needle. He thought it was possible.»
Stotz then made a vivid comparison to the Chinese company Tencent.
«How did Tencent become the most valuable corporation in Asia, with a peak market cap of a trillion dollars? You had WeChat in the middle, a messenger, and then all the fintech apps around it,» he explained. «You have your bank account, you have yield, and then also games.»
According to Stotz, given that the number of Telegram users has reached one billion per month, the goal is simple: to integrate TON and reach a third of that audience.
«The first billion is the hardest of all, in my experience. So 2 billion, 3 billion — that’s the goal,» he said.
«If we can succeed in this mission, we will become the most widely used blockchain, possibly even surpassing Bitcoin… I don’t think Ton can become more valuable than Bitcoin… but I think that after Bitcoin, second place is up for grabs, and we are heading for it.»
Saty is certainly a bomb, however, if Pavel doesn’t stop messing around and if he doesn’t somehow attract the attention of whales, then TON will never rise. #TON $TON
