Eliza Labs has launched a new platform called auto.fun, a startup similar to pump.fun that enables users to deploy complex AI agents without any technical skills.
To support these agents, auto.fun uses a “fairer than fair” token launch mechanism designed to promote a sustainable economy.
Auto.fun Platform Overview
Eliza Labs' auto.fun platform aims to create, deploy, and monetize AI agents through a "sustainable" token economy. The platform makes complex Web3 operations accessible to non-technical users, providing a no-code builder that allows anyone to create autonomous AI agents capable of performing tasks in social media platforms, DeFi applications, and other Web3 services. This approach is similar to pump.fun, which allows users to easily launch Solana-based meme tokens.
Eliza Labs, which also created the $2.5 billion open source protocol elizaOS, was formerly known as ai16z and was rebranded in January to avoid confusion with venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, commonly known as a16z.
Founder's Statement
“auto.fun’s vision is to democratize access to AI and Web3 technologies by creating agents that can perform tasks autonomously,” Shaw Walters, founder of Eliza Labs and elizaOS, said in a statement shared with The Block. “An agent can automate yield farming strategies, manage social media accounts across platforms, or execute trading strategies — all within a sustainable economic framework that benefits creators and users.”
The platform allows users to create AI that can not only respond to queries, but can also proactively perform tasks, such as finding staking opportunities above a target APY and automatically allocating funds, without requiring any technical expertise.
Walters added: “What’s particularly powerful about auto.fun is its open source foundation. Unlike closed-source AI systems that lack transparency, our open source approach ensures that users can verify how their agents operate and how their data is used – critical for financial and social operations.”
“Fairer than fair” token launch mechanism
To support the agency’s economy, auto.fun uses a “fairer than fair” token model that combines a bonding curve with fair launch principles. Eliza Labs said the model allows project teams to secure up to 50% of tokens before listing to help alleviate the rush, and introduces a “liquidity NFT mechanism” that distributes part of the transaction fees to token creators.
“Unlike traditional token launches that face price volatility and pump-and-dump issues, auto.fun’s token model promotes long-term alignment between AI agent developers and users, ensuring sustainable growth and fair participation,” the project claims.
Join the project started by auto.fun
Over 15 projects will join auto.fun’s launch, including FightFi’s competitive social proxy, Kryptonite’s CZAI proxy, and Comput3’s computational credit token. Other first-day projects include Secret’s Solana token launch proxy, Sigma Music’s AI-driven music collaboration, and Astra’s cross-chain payment proxy for EVM, Solana, and the Lightning Network.
