The Japanese investment company Metaplanet has made headlines with the largest Bitcoin acquisition to date, purchasing 619.7 Bitcoin for approximately $60 million. Metaplanet's ambitious strategy includes plans to increase its Bitcoin reserves to 10,000 Bitcoin by the end of 2025. To support this ambition, the company recently raised $745 million through a large equity issuance, marking the largest Bitcoin-focused capital raise in the history of the Asian stock market.
