As of today, the Japanese investment company Metaplanet is actively strengthening its presence in the cryptocurrency sector through large-scale Bitcoin purchases. On April 14, the company acquired 319 BTC for a total of $26.3 million at an average price of $82,549. Its total Bitcoin reserves reached 4,525 BTC, making Metaplanet the tenth largest corporate holder of BTC in the world.

The next day, the company announced it had raised $10 million through a zero-coupon bond issuance. All funds will be directed towards further investments in Bitcoin.

This strategy positions the company as one of the most aggressive institutional investors in crypto assets.

Metaplanet's approach demonstrates the growing confidence of the traditional financial sector in Bitcoin as a long-term asset and a diversification tool.
