Donald Trump took to Truth Social to blast Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, calling him “Too Late Jerome” and criticizing the Fed’s reluctance to cut interest rates amid global economic shifts.
Trump contrasted Powell’s caution with the European Central Bank (ECB), which is expected to cut rates for the seventh time this year to stimulate growth. He accused Powell of being slow and wrong, saying:
“Oil prices are down, groceries (even eggs!) are down, and the USA is getting RICH ON TARIFFS… Powell’s termination cannot come fast enough!”
The outburst came after Powell warned that massive White House tariffs could fuel inflation, potentially delaying rate cuts further—something Trump clearly didn’t appreciate.
