BREAKING: 🇵🇰 Pakistan Appoints Binance Founder CZ as Strategic Crypto Advisor
In a groundbreaking move for Pakistan’s digital economy, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, widely known as CZ, has been named Strategic Advisor to the Pakistan Crypto Council. This marks a major step forward in Pakistan’s push to embrace blockchain, Web3, and digital financial technologies.
The announcement followed a high-level meeting led by Federal Finance and Revenue Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb. Key figures, including the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Governor of the State Bank, and Federal Secretaries of Law and IT, were present.
“This is a historic moment for Pakistan. We’re making it clear to the world that we’re ready to lead in innovation,” said Minister Aurangzeb. “With CZ’s expertise, we aim to establish Pakistan as a regional leader in Web3 and blockchain-driven growth.”
During his visit, CZ also met with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, signaling strong government backing for creating a forward-looking regulatory and tech ecosystem.
Bilal Bin Saqib, Chief Adviser to the Finance Minister for the Pakistan Crypto Council, stated, “Pakistan is embracing the future of finance—and CZ is the ideal person to help guide us.”
As Strategic Advisor, CZ will support the country in shaping regulations, building infrastructure, educating the public, and encouraging adoption of crypto technologies.
Highlighting Pakistan’s demographic strength, CZ noted, “With over 240 million people—and 60% under the age of 30—the potential here is enormous.”
