AWS is down today, so I have to say something. As the founder of Node-X, I want to talk about the reality, crisis, and opportunity of Web3 infrastructure.

AWS went down today, and Binance, Kucoin, Debank, and even some mainstream public chain nodes were all down.

This is not the first time I have seen this happen. But every time I see this kind of thing, I am still shocked.

Web3 has been talking about decentralization for so many years, but our underlying infrastructure still runs on the Web2 cloud.

When AWS went down, half of Web3 went black, and many people panicked and suffered huge losses. This is not decentralization, this is Web3 in disguise of cloud.

I have been thinking about a question, maybe you have thought about it too:

Why don’t we have a truly decentralized computing network that can replace centralized clouds such as AWS/GCP?

The answer is cruel, but also true:

•Decentralized computing power is still too dispersed, with poor stability and lack of unified standards;

•Without a decent product experience, no one dares to sign even the most basic SLA;

• Resource providers lack incentives and are unable to operate in the long term;

•Enterprises dare not use it, developers are unwilling to migrate, and the trust threshold is too high.

But I believe more that this is the eve of a reconstruction of the era.

We are repeating the e-commerce logic of 2005: individuals challenging centralized giants, all they lack is an engine for explosion.

NodeHub wants to be that engine.

Just like Taobao and Pinduoduo allowed everyone to open a store and do business.

NodeHub aims to enable everyone with computing power to participate in the Web3 node economy.

We are not just a node deployment tool, but a decentralized computing power platform + node service provider incubator.

So I want to share five opportunities that NodeHub is bringing:

1. A new model for monetizing computing power: As long as you have equipment, you can run nodes and earn profits. You are no longer just a "cloud user".

2. Non-technical people can also participate in the node economy: one-click deployment + project integration, truly lowering the threshold and seizing early alpha.

3. Become a Web3 infrastructure service provider: If you have stable operation and high-quality services, you will be marked as a high-quality node by the platform and receive more tasks.

4. New way to monetize skills: Creators who can write scripts can publish instructions and earn incentives like the App Store.

5. Participate in the underlying weight game of the DePIN network: Every access device will become part of the on-chain weight in the future and participate in rule-making and profit distribution.

The next explosion of Web3 will not be in exchanges or secondary markets.

It is in the infrastructure, at every point where “ordinary people can participate”.

Today’s AWS outage is a crisis, but more importantly, it is a reminder.

Why we created Node-X is not to build a decentralized AWS.

Rather, it is to open the door to Web3 infrastructure for more people.

You can be a node, you can be a server, you can be a builder of this new world.

Web3 should not just be about cryptocurrency speculation, it should also belong to people who can contribute computing resources, run nodes, and write scripts.

NodeHub is for these people.

If you also want to join, whether you are a project owner, creator, or computing power provider,

Together, we can make Web3 more real.
