$BTC Several of Trump's advisors are urging him to take a more skeptical and cautious stance towards Moscow, arguing that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet shown a genuine interest in ending the Ukrainian conflict. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal. The group, which includes Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, recommended exercising more caution in relations with Putin and adopting a tougher stance on Moscow's demands for territorial concessions from Kyiv. However, at this point, Trump shares the opinion of U.S. Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff, who believes that Putin wants to establish peace. Whitcoff, who has met with the Russian leader in Moscow twice, is convincing the White House occupant that Moscow is ready to negotiate a settlement. Even Trump's advisors who advocate for a tougher approach towards Moscow support his goal of ending the conflict.
