Crypto and Web3 communities value marketing too much.
This is one of the core reasons why vaporware tech or clear rug pulls make that much success, as these guys are great with marketing, while offering a poor product.
It's the perfect honey pot.
At the same time, fantastic devs are relentlessly building great projects, heads down, and maybe do not have that good marketing and social skills. Remaining unnoticed.
Personally, I rather use and support great projects, with poor marketing; than using and supporting poor projects, with great marketing.
Those who manage to build great projects and great marketing will undoubtedly thrive, of course. In the meantime, I'm out here in the trenches…
